Schedule
The Wildcat Saturday Art School (WSAS) will take place over eight Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the following dates:
- February 21, 28
- March 21, 28
- April 4, 11, 18, 25
Each Saturday, children will participate in engaging, hands-on art classes led by pre-service teachers, fostering creativity and artistic exploration.
Open Studios Celebration
On the final day, April 25, families are invited to a special Open Studios event from 12:00–2:00 PM. Parents and children will have the opportunity to explore student work, participate in hands-on art activities together, and celebrate the creative journey of the past eight weeks. This event highlights the importance of community-based art education and shared creative experiences.
Inspiring Young Artists Through Sensory & Visual Art
Wildcat Saturday Art School is a hands-on art education program designed for K–6 students, offering a welcoming space for children to explore creativity through sensory-driven visual art practices. This year’s program emphasizes the relationship between sound and visual arts, encouraging students to engage with art-making through a multi-sensory lens.
Courses are led by pre-service teachers, each bringing their own artistic perspective and teaching approach. Classes are thoughtfully designed around age-appropriate themes for the following grade levels:
Through play-based learning, creative exploration, storytelling, and hands-on projects, students are encouraged to experiment, imagine, and develop their artistic voice in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Class Structure & Enrollment
Wildcat Saturday Art School will offer a total of eight classes across three age groups:
- Grades K–1: 1 class
- Grades 2–3: 2 classes
- Grades 4–6: 2 classes
Enrollment is limited to 15 children per class to ensure a supportive, hands-on learning environment and individualized attention.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available to support families in need. To apply, please submit either:
- a copy of your child’s free or reduced lunch letter, or
- a letter of support from a teacher indicating the need for financial assistance.

$90 per child
