About Wildcat Art

2024 Wildcat Art

Wildcat Art is an advanced practicum course and community program for graduates and undergraduates in the Department of Art & Visual Culture Education (AVCE) at the School of Art. Now in its 29th year, Wildcat Art is an opportunity for pre-service art educators to design and implement original visual art lesson plans appropriate to state and national teaching standards.

The pre-service educators also curate and host an exhibition of the K-12 student artwork.

Our curriculum will demonstrate art’s role as an important part of self-expression. Student educators are passionate about this subject and hope to inspire participating K-12 students to create art that is meaningful to them. The program’s activities seek to connect community members and UA students in the field of art education.
